Comfortable

So I like curly stuff, rounded shapes, faces and fishes. And I’m back to colours.

Let’s pretend this is an octopus that meet an elephant while doing a round trip over another world. But I might be wrong.

Jump

…and enjoy the unknown as a source of excitement.

Moving strings

Recycling is very trendy these days and developing my first blog’ sketch into a “real” illustration has been an old, restrained fantasy.

So now, I feel better :)

…yes a lot of clouds again.

Chill cloud

I think I’m officially obsessed by clouds but this one is cool: it’s a chill cloud.

And this is another bizarre experimentation I started on a tube, developed during an interesting airport night, and concluded in the same hot tube.

Melt

This bear will need more time to learn to swim. Switch off.

Good vibes

Back in April I submitted my first entry for an illustration competition: London Cloud Ride for the Cycling in London Competition.

Yesterday I delivered the pictured framed artwork to the Association of illustrators as it will be part of the Cycling in London exhibition at the London Transport Museum from the 5th of July to the 22nd of August 2010.

It was unexpected and it feels just amazing to have a first professional recognition about my illustration work as well as serving a sustainable cause.

Again, Thank you.

Smile

…and don’t look around you might get excited.

A green thought that came during my last Eurostar trip to Paris, watching an infinity of identical character-shaped pylons in the middle of a beautiful land. Surprisingly inspiring.

Step by step

After 21 months of sketching, wondering, blogging, doubting and learning, a lot, I’m more than happy to announce the launch of my first online illustration portfolio.

It might sounds (smell?) cheesy but I really want to thanks everyone who supported me during the past couple of years: family, friends, colleagues and even people I don’t know :) So you know, I’m excited to go ahead.

Thank you.

Olivia

As my family recently got bigger I thought I should give a try to do something cute in order to develop my children’s book illustration side. It’s been a refreshing & peaceful process and the targeted audience has approved :)

Multiface

I’ve been too busy to feed my blog during the past few weeks so, to keep the flow going, here is another free sketch experimentation from the (hot!) London underground. More to come soon!

Mess

Another mash-up of feelings I had while commuting. I can’t explain much but maybe I should try fishing again.

Pigeon attack

I had nothing against pigeons until recently.

The last couple of rounds in my little garden (what?) have been very “pigeony” with pigeons defecating on me (and I didn’t feel THAT lucky) or jumping on my shoulder by surprise with the hope to steal my sandwich. The last one really scared me but, thankfully, no beverage drinking at the time. Exciting life he?

Free to create

An illustration based on a friend’s travel experience featuring Manbox.

Challenge

Sometime, life can be challenging. The trick is to focus on the positive aspect of things. Use an hair-brush.

London Cloud Ride

London wouldn’t exist without clouds, so rather than complaining let’s make them happier and healthier by pushing cycling as the best way to get around the city.

This is my entry for the AOI Cycling in London competition, and also my first entry to an illustration competition. I’m excited and I will be even more if I talk again about this in the next few months! Wait, hope, see and let’s go outside as today London’s clouds are off! more…
